Hard-hitting tunes fill up this CD, all from the greatest names in the elektro-industrial and experimental scene today. When you can find a disc with artists like Aghast View, Diverje, Andraculoid and Pneumatic Detach all together, you know it must be good. Starting out with tracks by Boundless and X-Axis is a pure assault on your senses. Fast, pounding beats, harsh vocals, and great industrial rhythms. The disc doesn’t lets up as we move on to the well-known Brazilian act Aghast View and then onto Symbiont. Sure the tempo slows just a little bit, but the drums still pound. Algorithmdekonstruct comes up next with a slower tempo than the other tracks so far, but an amazing sound with vocals in the same style as bands like Aslan Faction. The disc picks up again with the established DSBP act known as Run Level Zero, with an awesome remix of “Under the Gun”. AEC keeps it going next with an incredible harsh, noisy remix of “Burned Alive” by none other than Pneumatic Detach. Continuing with the noisy sound we move into the sounds of Andraculoid (best described as a hybrid of powernoise and incredibly raw industrial). Getting into more of a dance feel again the disc comes out with a new song by Ionic Vision (“My Cell”), followed up by a previously unreleased track by Diverje that just POUNDS! This track, from what I’ve heard, has gotten a tremendous response. Following this up is an amazing track by Lexincrypt.(a project of Symbiont member J."Wrythe" Cameron), following in that tradition with harsh vocals and well-crafted industrial sounds. Pneumatic Detach brings it to the table with an awesome powernoise track, followed up by a mellower but still great elektro-industrial tune by Soul Circuit. As for “Dollhouse” by Liquefaction, all I can say is “wow”. Gorgeous female-fronted track, mellow elektro tune. One of my favorites. Forced comes next with a very harsh and great tune. Very evil. Or should I say eeeeeveeeeeil. Finally to finish it up is a wicked experimental track by In-Fused (Tommy T’s project outside of Diverje). Wet flowing synth bleeps and a gorgeous soundscape with broken drums. Mellow, but very cool. It should also be mentioned that every track is either unreleased or a new remix. How cool is that? And since only 500 copies have been pressed, if you want one, you’d better get it today. I highly recommend this CD to fans who like harsh sounds, and still like to dance. Not everything is “super” dancey, but all tunes have a great beat and sound just amazing. If you think industrial music stopped with bands like Puppy and Ministry, then I’d say get this disc and learn what true industrial music sounds like today. luke http://www.djizmusic.com/iz/albumreviews.asp ----------------------------
